and opening up a gallery of stunning snow-peaks along the way. This 5-day itinerary is unrivaled

About Chopta Trek

Tungnath Temple and Chandrashila Peak located at a height of about 4000 m will be calling you
to reach them after beholding the mesmerizing views of hued meadows and pastures. From the
top of Chandrashila, get enchanted by the peaks of Nanda Devi, Trishul, Chaukhamba.
As part of the daily hygiene protocol, proper hygiene and sanitation are maintained throughout
to ensure the guests’ utmost care and personal safety.

Day 1Drive from Rishikesh– Sari (1350 m, 6-7 hour)

● Arrive at the Rishikesh by 7:00 AM and then board a vehicle to take you to Sari.
● The journey will take you along the Ganga and Alaknanda rivers, passing through the
holy towns of Rishikesh, Devprayag, and Rudraprayag before arriving in the Mandakini
● Reach in Kund in the evening and go for a short hike to warm up for the next few days of
trekking. Set up camp by the river and spend the night in a cabin.

Day 2Trek from Sari – Deoria Tal (2438 m and 4-5 hour trek)

● After having followed breakfast, take a walk from the lodge through cozy hamlets and
Ukhimath’s temple district.
● Cut through the thick thickets of abundant species of birds and continue to climb.
● Just before you arrive at Deoria Tal Lake in the afternoon, take some time to explore the
beautiful surroundings.
● Set up camp in the comfort of your own tents and get a good night’s sleep

Day 3Trek from Deoria Tal – Chopta (2800 m and 4-5 hour trek)

● Begin the day with breakfast and a ridge walk, followed by a series of ascending trails.
You’ll also come across oak, pine, and rhododendron mixed forests.
● Arrive at the Chopta campsite in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day exploring
the area’s natural wonders, which are complemented by snow-capped mountainous
● Set up your camp here by nightfall and retire for the night after a hearty meal.

Day 4Trek from Chopta – Tungnath (3680 m) – Chandrashila Peak (4000 m and 4-5 hour trek)

● Start off the day by ascending to the slopes to reach the Tungnath temple.
● The various colored pastures here, along with the stunning mountains and valleys that
serve as a backdrop, make for an unforgettable sight.
● Continue the trek uphill towards the Chandrashila Peak at 4000 meters after refueling
● From the peak, get enchanted by the peaks of Nanda Devi, Trishul, Chaukhamba.
● Trek down to Chopta’s base camp and then drive up to the lodge, where you’ll be
greeted with a hot dinner. For the night, retire here.

Day 5Drive from Chopta – Haridwar (6-7 hour drive of 200 km)

● After breakfast, you have the option of going rafting on the Alaknanda River or relaxing
at the base camp.
● After completing the rafting, travel to Haridwar via Rishikesh, a spiritual town. {re-check
day 5}
