About Hampta Pass Trek

The Hampta Pass trek allows adventurers to explore the unique landscape on the Manali side of
Himachal Pradesh. You will have a magnificent view of a different world below, the beautiful but
deserted Lahaul, from the top. The panoramic view of the valley from the summit will stay with
you for a long time.
Manali is the starting point for the Hampta Pass trek. You will be taken from Manali to Jobra and
then to Chika, which is located at a height of approximately 10,100 feet. The route will be lush
with greenery, with the River Rani and mountainous stretches on one side. On this impressive
journey, catch the first glimpses of the mighty towers in the Dhauladhar Ranges, which occupy
the entire frame with meadows and flower-filled valleys. The gradual slopes that follow will take
you to the mighty Hampta Pass, and Hampta Village will be your host for a while along the way.
Discover the peace and tranquility that surrounds the valley.

The Hampta Pass trek‘s final destination is the lovely Chandratal, which is nestled among the pristine
surroundings and dominated by the white peaks and clouds above. The green paradise and the
confluence of three paths – Hampta Pass, Spiti, and Rohtang Pass – will accompany you to a
height of about 14,100ft.
Our knowledgeable and well-trained guides, as well as the porters and kitchen staff, will oversee
the entire experience. The team will also assist you in allocating your dome tents for each night
so that you can simply enjoy the beauty of the surroundings without having to worry about

Itinerary

Day 1Manali – Jobra (Drive) Trek from Jobra to Chika (10,100ft)

❖ After a good breakfast in Manali, you’ll travel to Jobra, the starting point for the trek.
Receive a briefing from your trip leader and gear for an easy ascent of 10,400 feet to
Chika at this transfer point.
❖ It’s a quick & easy walk to Chika campsite on the banks of the river Rani Nallah, a 2km
walk through a mixed fir, green maple and birch woodland.
❖ You scarcely know the climb with the hypocritical topography of the Himachal. Walk
along the Rani River, which presents in total beauty the surroundings of large rocky hills.
❖ Stay in dome tents.

Day 2Chika (10,100ft) – Balu ka Ghera (11,900ft) (Trek/Moderate/ 5hrs).

❖ On another simple day, leave Chika Campsite. If you’d trek for just 5 hours, the trek is
impressive.
❖ Feel the fact that you are in the Himalayas as you see the outside chain of the
Himalayas as the Dhauladhars begin to appear.
❖ You will see the mighty towers, commonly called The White Range, dominate the whole
frame with meadows with valleys filled with flower pointed for company.
Balu ka Ghera is where you can arrive. Set up shop for the day at this base. Spend the
rest of the time eating lunch and losing yourself in an ambiance that will steal your breath
away.

Day 3Balu ka Gera (11,900ft) – Siagoru (12,900ft) and crossing Hampta Pass (14,100ft). (Trek/ Moderate/ 8hrs).

❖ On Day 3, you’ll get to see the barren landscape of the Himalayas in the Lahul and Spiti
Valleys. The Hampta Pass Trekking is particularly appealing to amateurs because it
offers so much variety in one region.
❖ Begin your day with a steep ascent to the Pass. Enjoy a stunning panoramic view from
the top before beginning your descent to the next campsite.
❖ Discover the peace and tranquility that surrounds the valley; you can come across
shepherds at this high altitude pass who visit the valley to feed their sheep with the
special grass that grows in the area.
❖ After a brief stop in Hampta village, which gives the pass its name, you’ll begin the
descent to Siagoru’s base camp. As you stop for the night, you’ll be able to get some
well-deserved rest after your 8-hour ride.

Day 4Siagoru (12,900ft) – Chatru (11,000ft) and drive to Chandra Tal (Trek/ Easy / 4hrs)

❖ Massive Pir Panjal Ranges, Chandra Tal Trek, This day will be a relatively easy expedition
across the Himalayas. After breakfast, begin a simple descent through the Hampta
Valley.
❖ The inner Himalayan circle’s Pir Panjal ranges will appear ahead of you. This
commanding landscape follows you all the way through Spiti to the base camp at Chatru.
Enjoy the spectacular view of a high-altitude cold desert at Spiti Valley.
❖ Head to Chatru after your brief encounter with yet another Himalayan natural beauty.
This lush oasis in the desolate cold desert is a confluence of three routes – Hampta
Pass, Spiti, and Rohtang Pass. (re-check)
❖ You’ll travel to Chandratal, a moon-shaped alpine lake at 14,100 feet above sea level.
This is one of the most beautiful lakes in the country, and it is here that you will fall in
love with the Himalayas.
❖ Find yourself become one with nature as the lake’s placid waters throw open a vista of
reflections of the enveloping Himalayan peaks.

Day 5Drive from Chandra Tal to Manali via Rohtang Pass.

❖ It is the day when your Hampta pass trekking adventure comes to an end.
❖ After breakfast, drive through the high altitude pass that connects the humid Kullu Valley
with the arid Lahaul and Spiti Valley.
❖ Arrive at Manali and disperse for your homeward journey with a bag full of memories.
